The name Chats du Cap ( CdC ) meaning Cats of the Cape

This is a non- profit independent cat club. The cat club was founded by Alida Delport and was proclamated by the World Cat Federation (WCF) with the registration number ZA-0215-15. This was officially announced at the 22nd International CASA cat show on 20 March 2010 at the Oakdale Club in Bellville.

CdC held its first cat show on 23 July 2011 at Totius Primary School in Bellville.

The cats are judged according to their specific breed standards which are internationally recognised and compete for national and international titles. Titles are obtained by the number of certificates awarded. There are of course wonderful prizes at stake for the winners.
